Merging of P-FAD and MA's alogorithm for face recognition

Advancements in technology lead to many new inventions. Among them Face Detection process plays a key role in imaging processes. This process analysis for skin color in an image and returns the face location. Earlier personal computers or digital cameras were used to detect faces. But to its inadequacy in properties like limited computation, power capacity and speed the Embedded Smart Cameras or Mobile Devices with built in cameras are preferred nowadays due to its common purpose workstations. In this work, we merge the design and implementation of Ma’s algorithm and Pyramid-like FAce Detection (P-FAD) algorithm. It is a real-time face detection and recognition system created on general embedded devices. P-FAD is a hierarchical detection scheme and it present a three stage coarse, shift, and refine procedure, to be built and gives less computation overhead, more speed and accuracy without losing the performance factors. Our proposed approach scans the targeted image fully and identifies or verifies the criminal faces through a multi-layered algorithmic process like P-FAD and Ma’s algorithm. The client side has to load/ crap the images and pre-process the image and send it to particular crime department or police department using a secured path as a MMS or Bluetooth or E-Mail. After that, the received image is matched with the existing images from the database using matching algorithms. It implemented on Android phones, laptop with embedded web camera platform. These proposed methodologies are tested with image detection using template matching algorithm and the results proves to be efficient.
